We had our first "long distance" chase to the Texas panhandle on May 25, 1996 and were initiated to the possible hazards of the hobby by getting pummeled with baseball-size hail from a vicious storm southeast of Lubbock. We lost a windshield that evening. Nevertheless, we were not dissuaded and continue our search each year for supercell storms and tornadoes.
The purpose of this website is to enable those with an interest in severe weather a convenient way of obtaining my documentaries. These video presentations are not produced commercially, but by a stormchaser with a stormchaser's perspective. Video sequences provides a front seat view as each chase day unfolds, providing an account of the day's events. Shot with a high-quality camcorder with tripoded footage, the viewer is treated to stunning storm imagery, including beautiful cloud features and tornadoes. Titles/captions/text are interspersed throughout each video providing time and location information as well as National Weather Service warnings as they occur. Menus are provided in each DVD for easy navigation.
